Obituary for Almeda Elizabeth Stout (Cochran)

Almeda Elizabeth Stout entered Heaven’s gates on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the age of 94. The daughter of Lula (Reynolds) and Milford Cochran, Almeda was born on March 3, 1928 in Lincoln County, Oklahoma. Almeda grew up in the White Rock, Meeker and McLoud, OK area, graduating from White Rock High School in 1946. She met the love of her life, Gordon Ray Stout, fondly called “Sam” and the two were united in marriage on July 30, 1949. Together they shared more than 54 years of marriage and raising their family until his passing in 2003. This union of marriage was blessed with three children. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated homemaker, Almeda also worked as a secretary for the Oklahoma City Public School System for 30 years. She retired in 2000. Spending precious moments with her family, whom she loved with all of her heart, was beyond her greatest joy and accomplishment in life. Almeda will be deeply missed each day, however we rejoice in knowing she has been reunited with her husband Sam and daughter, Karen in Heaven.
