Obituary for Charissa Siebert

On Saturday, December 10th, Charissa Ann Siebert passed away peacefully at her home in Edmond, Oklahoma. Charissa was born on October 04, 1949, in El Reno Oklahoma.

Charissa attended Townsend Elementary, Monroney Middle School and Midwest City High school – Class of 1967.
On March 23rd, 1968, Charissa married Larry Wayne Siebert at St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Midwest City. Immediately following their marriage, she was able to join her husband, where they were stationed in Italy for three years before returning home from military service. After returning home, Charissa and Larry were soon blessed with the birth of their two sons.

Charissa worked at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center from 1974-1980, and as Store Manager for Ratcliffe’s Inc. from 1981 to 2017. She truly loved helping medical students and would always say “Those were her kids” and how proud she was of their achievements. Some of Charissa’s physicians over the last twenty years remembered her from the Medical Book Store.

Survivors include: Her husband of 54 years Larry, two children, Mathew (w Michelle) of Edmond and Jeffery of Edmond. Grandchildren, Anya, Zoe, Cord, and Logan. A sister, Sandy Reddick of Oklahoma City, and sister-in-law, Linda Herndon of Oklahoma City and many nieces and nephews. Charissa was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Claire Martz, and her sister, Joy Doak.

One of Charissa’s favorite holidays was the Fourth of July. She loved the American Flag and what it stood for in our world today and she so loved watching Edmond’s Fourth of July parade annually with her grandchildren over the last twenty years.
She is remembered for her warm smile and her belief that God doesn’t deal you anything that you and He can’t handle. Although her recent years have been ladened with pain and hospital stays, she remained strong and brave until the Lord called her home. Charissa will be loved for all eternity, and she will be missed beyond measure.
