Obituary for Cinda Earlene Wright (Rivers)

With deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of Cinda Earlene Rivers Wright. She went to be with our Heavenly Father on July 25, 2022 after a brief illness. She was born on October 28, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Earl and Mildred Rivers. She grew up in the Oklahoma City area and attended Central High School where she graduated in 1969. Upon graduation she was employed at Tinker Air Force Base where she worked in the command center for over 40 years. At the young age of 19, she met the love of her life John Wright. Together, they built a life in Oklahoma City where they had 3 children and were married 51 years. Cinda was very passionate about her flower garden, genealogy, and scrapbooking, but nothing was as important as her children and grandchildren. Cinda was known for her love of family and friends and will be fondly remembered as a kind, thoughtful, and caring woman. Her love and faith in Christ was very strong. She attended Knob Hill Baptist Church for many years and will be held close to our hearts each day.

Cinda is survived by her husband, John Wright of Oklahoma City; children, Candice White and husband, Shane of Overland Park, Kansas, Chadley Wright (Amanda) of Olathe, Kansas, and Cameron and Rachel Wright of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Brittany (Ilya), Melody, Mason, Lindsey, Connor, Caitlyn, Caydenn, Camille, and Corbynn; and great-grandchildren, Lilyan, William, and Serenity. Cinda was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Mildred Rivers and a grandson, Parker John Koerner.

Cinda loved life to the fullest and had a great love of her family. Genealogy was her most passionate hobby as she spent many hours reconnecting with those from her family tree. Cinda had so much goodness and the capacity to bring happiness to others around her. The family takes comfort that Cinda awoke to something more glorious than anything on this earth. You helped us all and we cherish the moments spent with you making memories to last us a lifetime. Your gentle voice will be in our hearts forever.
