There will be a graveside service for Don, at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 500 SW 104th Street, OKC, on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 3:00 PM.
Donald Albert Douglas, 89, passed from this life Friday, December 23, 2022. He was born December 10, 1933, the son of Robert Lincoln and Bertha (Bucholz) Douglas, in Oklahoma City. After graduating from Classen High School, Don was drafted into the United States Army where he proudly served his country from 1956 to 1958. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geology from Oklahoma A&M. He worked in auto parts sales, retiring after almost 60 years, doing what he loved. Don was a member of Oklahoma Historical Modelers Society and has models on display at the Oklahoma Science Museum.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Don leaves cherished memories with his wife of 58 years, Margaret Willidean (Nelms) Douglas; son, David Douglas and wife, Malinda; daughter, Debra Walton and husband Jason; grandchildren, Caitlin Piette, Jordan and Kaylee Douglas, Jacob and Jonah Walton; great grandson, Zachary Piette; and his friends with the Historical Modelers Club.
