Donald Ray Henderson went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2022, at his home with his family surrounding him at 68. He was born on May 3, 1953 in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma to his parents, David Ralph and Yona Lareeta (McCauley) Henderson. Donald grew up attending schools in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma. After graduating from Ft. Cobb High School in 1971, Donald joined the United States Marine Corps and spent four years honorably serving his country. On June 9, 1973, Donald married Leca Diane Hardesty and together they raised a loving family. Donald provided for his family by working in many different trades. He was a successful contractor who specialized in fencing and tile setting. In his spare time, Don enjoyed hunting quail and noodling, but most of all, Don loved being close to his family, spending time with them and making memories. This past Christmas of 2021, Don expressed to his family that it was his best Christmas of all time. Don spent the whole day just laughing, being funny and joking with his grandkids. Don’s favorite holiday was Valentine’s Day! Don always loved showering his grandkids with flowers and candy on that day. He thoroughly enjoyed making them feel special and loved. The grandkids enjoyed this yearly tradition so much and have fond memories. This will be a very special Valentine’s Day to be able to honor and shower Don with the abundance of love his family had for him. He will be forever missed but loved each day in our hearts. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dennis “Bo” Henderson. He leaves lasting memories with his wife of 48 years, Leca Henderson; daughter, Annie Justine and her husband, Dennis; daughter, Heather Dehart and her husband, Chris; 3 brothers: Terry, David and Brad Henderson; sisters: Susie Oliphant, Jeanne Horn, and Amy Gonzales; 7 grandchildren: Ashly, Austin, Abby, Braden, Anthony, Andrew, and Alex.
