Obituary for Donna Marie Fox (Pearman)

Donna Marie Fox
January 25, 1958 – August 22, 2022

Donna Marie Fox, at the age of 64, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, August 22, 2022. The daughter of William Steve “Bill” Pearman and Joyce Lee Pearman (Rollings), she was born January 25, 1958, in Oklahoma City, OK. She grew up attending schools in the Midwest City area including Barnes Elementary, a little stent at Savannah, before she finished through the tenth grade at Carl Albert High School. She later went on to obtain her GED. On February 2, 1976, she married her sweetheart, Ronald Gene Fox, and together they shared more than 46 years of marriage together. This union of marriage was blessed with three children. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated homemaker, Donna also worked as a Florist at Holland’s Florist and David’s Flowers. Donna was very passionate about any task or craft that she embarked upon. She loved ceramics and once she achieved EVERY award for the highest achievement in each area of expertise, she decided that she had reached the highest level possible and needed to conquer something else. She loved flowers and gardening, she was an excellent seamstress, quilter, and sewer of many things. She was an accomplished baker of cakes, wedding and birthday alike, as well as pie maker – of which none of us can agree on the one she did the best. Her Pecan pie is high in the running to win. She loved hatching and raising her chickens. She loved their dogs as much as she loved her children, grandchildren and family. Donna was a perfectionist when it came to all things, and she wouldn’t settle for anything less. If she was making something for someone or helping someone with something, she wouldn’t stop until it was up to her perfect standard. Even if she had to take things apart a million times just to get it right. She moonlighted as a wedding planner in the last year helping her granddaughter and then her son to achieve their dream weddings in any way she could or knew how. She had just recently gotten started in Cricut design and had made many things, but true to her personality, she learned everything she could about anything she was making and finding ways to make it the best. Being passionate about all these things did not hold a candle to her love of family, whom she loved with all her heart. She may have complained about slaving over a hot stove to cook for all of us, but she thoroughly enjoyed having all of us present in their home. And, man, could she cook! Donna was a kind, loving, generous woman who was unapologetically honest, authentically blunt and had a heart of gold. She was a fierce mama bear to anyone that upset the balance within her family unit – she was not having anyone hurting her babies! She single-handedly has become the strongest person that any of us have ever known. She started her battle with breast cancer in 1996 and true to her she fought it to its death. She later was surprised to have another visitor in 2010- lung cancer. She has fought tooth and nail through so many ups and downs in her cancer journey. She was up and about being an integral part of family activities, no matter how she felt, for the last several months. She fought through until the very end. We are all so proud to say that she was our wife, mother, sister, aunt, and Nana. She loved and cared deeply for her family, and she will be held close to our hearts each and every day for the rest of our lives.
