Obituary for James Robert "Bob" Bradley

James Robert “Bob” Bradley was born March 20, 1934 in Muskogee, Oklahoma the son of Myrtle Thelma Ferguson and Charles Rufus Bradley. He completed this life on Tuesday, January 10th, 2023 at his home in Oklahoma City at the age of 88.

Bob was raised in Muskogee where he graduated from Muskogee’s Central High School in 1952. He then graduated from Muskogee Junior College. He served in the U.S. Air Force from July 1955 until he was discharged on July 4th, 1957. Bob then attended the University of Oklahoma where he graduated in 1960 with a Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering.

Bob began a long and successful career as a Geological Engineer in the Oil, Gas and Environmental industry. He lived for a number of years in Tulsa before moving to Oklahoma City in 1982.

Bob married Donna Jean Robison in Muskogee on January 27th, 1956. She preceded him in death on October 13, 1997 having been married 41 years.

Bob was an avid OU fan enjoying having season tickets for many years. He enjoyed golf, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed being a little league coach for his sons when they were growing up.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Donna and his grandparents, Maria and Harry Ferguson.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Debie Waeger of Claremore, OK; his sons, James “Jim” Robison Bradley of Jacksonville, FL and Robert “Rob” Edward Bradley and his wife Sheila of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Mishelle McDowell and her husband Jeff, Kristen Rubey and her husband Ben, B.J. Waeger and his wife Ashley, Sahara Jean Bradley, Matthew Bradley and his wife, Nicole, Shannon Jean Bradley and Robert Bradley; his 13 great grandchildren; his sisters, Judy Anderson and her husband Johnny of Owasso and Jeanne Fountain and her husband Bill of Hawaii.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 16th in the Vondel Smith Mortuary North Chapel, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd. Interment will be at 3:00 PM in the Okmulgee Cemetery, 2017 S. Wood Drive, Okmulgee, OK.
