Jennie Eileen Short, 75, departed this earth to her eternal home on 9 February, 2022. The daughter of Edmon and Wennie McCreight, was born on 1 June, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She grew up attending schools in the Oklahoma City area and graduated from Capitol Hill High School. Jennie married her love, Raymond Short, on 25 November, 1965. This union of marriage was blessed with three children, Tim, Adam, and Pennie. Jennie devoted countless hours to her family, not only as a loving wife and mother, but as the field trip chaperone, classroom volunteer, as well as fan and scorekeeper for her children’s little league sports teams. The smell of popcorn in the halls of Epperly Heights Elementary would remind everyone that she was there. Upon the graduation of all her children, Jennie returned to work outside the home working at the Little Giant Pump Company before retiring in 2014. Jennie’s life revolved around her family, especially her children and grandchildren. If there was a ballgame, awards ceremony, or concert, you knew without a doubt Jennie would be there. She was loved deeply by her family, and she will be held close to our hearts each and every day.
