Obituary for Shawna Lynne Harris Hughes (Harris)
Mrs. Shawna Lynne Harris Hughes, age 58, of Cartersville, GA, formerly of Dallas passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at her home with her family by her side.
Mrs. Hughes was born on November 5, 1963, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Mr. Clifford Lee Harris and Mrs. Joyce Lawrence Harris. Shawna worked as a Paparazzi Accessories consultant. She loved her family and spending time with them. Shawna was very devoted in her faith and would always jump at the opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with anyone. She was an avid University of Oklahoma Football lover, born and bred, she could talk football with the best of them and would quickly hush you when her football was on television. She was known as the crazy clothes lady for her obsession with blue jeans and clothes. She was a true salesman at heart and could sell anything! Shawna was very family oriented and will be missed dearly.
Shawna is survived by her husband, Mr. Scott Hughes; children, Michael Douglas Anderson and Kathryn Elisabeth Anderson; her mother, Mrs. Joyce Lawrence Harris; her sister, Miss Shannon Lee Harris and half-brother, Mr. Clinton Bridges. Many other relatives, and friends also survive.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Lester & Dottie Lawrence and Mr. & Mrs. Alvie & Myrtle Harris.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday May 20, 2022, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home in Dallas, Ga. after the visitation Shawna will be taken to Oklahoma City for a funeral service and entombment at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
